So if you have been following my other post i had issues with my shifter and i have solved that problem i can now get it into reverse, nuetral, and forward. Can someone please post pics of how there bucket looks when the selector is in full forward becuase i think that mine is not actually going full forward but i put it there here is a pic of mine but i think it should be fully vertical. Once in full forward i can go back to the buck and push it up another 3 inches to fully verical but the cable that is attached to the bucket does not more in more it seems like all the slop is in the bucket mechainsm itself. But for all i know this is exactly where its supposed to be i just dont have another one to guage off of.

Although I do not have a picture of my 2007 challenger 180 reverse bucket, yours looks similar to my problem. My bucket will not go fully up in the forward position. If I push the bucket up by hand, it locks in place higher. I am not an expert, but if take a short straight edge (like a small ruler) and place it in the jet nozzle extending out to the bucket, the ruler should not hit the bucket. Your picture indicates that some of the thrust out of the jet drive is hitting the reverse bucket, as mine is. I believe, I need to adjust my hand reverse lever by changing the linkage point in the lever itself.

Hey Homie.
This is the best forum there is for Seadoos. Not everyone logs on every day, give it some time.
Or if you prefer, PM a administrator to cancel your account, and you may never get it fixed then.

Good luck

Their gonna toss you butt off here one day anyway SDB. I say GO FOR IT!!!!!!

ok, they sell a bushing kit for the bucket, but obviously you sorta hacked it up when u worked on it, and created this problem, however, u need to replace the bushings, and On shifter plate, 3 holes are available to install the
cable connector. All holes can be used. The variation
in cable length will determine the proper hole.
For proper adjustment, screw in the connector.
Install lock pin then push locking tab over the pin.
Ensure locking bracket tab is properly locked in
connector recess.

Install throttle/shifter controller in its receptacle.

yes i removed the bolts where the busing seem to go and that freed it up alot. Where can you buy this bushing ki? and i have removed the shifter and know the holes you are talking about and i have to have it on the rear most whole or else it wont go into the full forward detent its almost the cable to is short, wich to me makes no sense all i did was take the 2 bolts off the bucket and all this happened. i have tried numerous times to move the adjusted under the shifter with differnect variations, in the 4 different holes and have found one setups that alows me to go into all detents and move the throttle but barely so for now everything works but im not happy with how it is working, there is something i am missing.

take off the cable, and the cable end adjusts -- turn it and it gets shorter and longer, also snug up bolts on bucket

yes but if you make it longer/shorter in one way or the other than it wont fully engage with either forward or reverse, becuase as you the shifter pivots the cable is bolted to it so it. The cable must have stops internally in it.
