Need help 99 speedster mpem dealer said need new one is there a way 2 rebuild or fix

So bought this a week ago 99 speedster with the twin motors picked up from dealer they said they traced it back to the mpem and said I need a new one ? It doesn't turn over or do anything just a small click when I push the start button. Everything else works horn fans stereo all work ? Is there a way to fix these or get them rebuilt. ? There not a cheap item to buy. Does anyone have one to sell or know where I get one ? Does it need programming with the dss key or no ? As the dealer said yes and this seadoo mechanic said it doesn't need programming ? Mpem number is 204 470 155 Any help would be appreciated I wanna get it going to enjoy it before winter comes thanks

Have you gone thru any testing on your end? It's not that I'm doubting the dealer but it's an expensive and sometimes hard to find part, I would personally exhaust myself before spending a dime
