About two months ago i driving my boat in shallow water. when i hit a rocks. Some rocks get in prop.then a mobile mechanic Come And look at it.and there was rocks in the one of the prop bladewhich was bend a little he straighten the blade and put it back on replace wearing. but it runs ok for 2mins then start doing the same thing. it will start fine it will up 8000pm but the won't go 30mph .i was told it is the pump support which i replace. Its still doing Same.i ready need help

If it's reving to 8000 RPM... then you need to take the pump apart, and check everything. Also, you need to re seal the shoe to the hull, and probably replace your carbon seal.

If you have a new wear ring... and the impeller is OK... then you have an air leak.

seadoo challenger rev up 8000rpm but won't go more than 30mph

How can i know if carbon seal is bad. there is no water coming in the hull.but if had replace it i have take the drive Shaft right. I try to take before to look at but it was hell the supporting ring won't move forward for me to take the c_clip is there an easier way to take it out just in case i had to .also u said seal the shoe To the hull what is the shoe on the pump and can i use silicon on it.for the prop am not 100% sure is ok the mechanic that first look at said is ok. there was a rocks wedge in between the blade of the prop and one of blade was bend a little bit.he took the rocks out and straighten the Blade and he said is ok.Please i need help its been almost two months am dealing with this problem.

Is it cavitating, and if it is, check your carbon seal and inhull fitting. Sounds like you may also have a bent drive shaft causing air to be sucked past the carbon seal. Just some things to check.

It's been my experience that a carbon seal will look just fine from the outside, and they seal water out... but they don't stop the pump from sucking air past it.

as a quick test, pull the seal back, and put a dab of waterproof grease on the face of the seal. It will seal the air for a short time. If you do that, and your cavitation goes away... it's time to service that seal. (cavitation will come back as the grease wears off)

As far as "it's hard to move the suppering ring"... that may be your problem. Did you try to remove it once before, and weren't successful? You could have pulled the stainless ring out of alignment.

boat rev up to 8000rpm and speed up 30mph

Ok am gonna replace the carbon seal.the problem am having.should also change the prop and drive shaft. Are they part of the problem or only the carbon seal would do.taking the drive shaft do i need a special tool.because i can't move that supporting ring move forward to be able to take the c clip out

No, you don't need any special tools. Inside the stainless ring, there are 2 rubber O-rings. With age, they have gotten hard, and are stuck to the driveshaft. Spray a little penetrating oil between it and the driveshaft... and then with a large screwdriver, or pry bar... push it toward the transom. It will move... it's just stuck.

Unless your driveshaft is bent... there is no reason to replace it.

Thank you very much for your quick response.i think drive shaft is ok.but what about the prop Remember there was rock wedge in between the blade one of the blade was bend a little the mechanic Straighten it and said is ok.but i don't trust him anymore.Should i replace it. how can i tell if is ok
