Need coupler hose for '96 XP800

Hi, I'm brand spanking new to this. Next weekend I will be heading out to hopefully bring home a '96 Sea Doo XP800. I wanted to pick up a coupler hose to test it out before dragging it home.

The manual says I need a 295500099 but all I can find locally is a 295500258. Is the 258 backward compatible with a 099 ?
Are they all rather generic and interchangeable?

If not, any suggestions as to where online I can get the $20 part for less than $40 shipping and have it by the 24th?

Thanks

Mark

home depot...

go there, and get "t" fitting sizes 1/4 or 3/8...then get yourself a hose attachment, and fit a barb fitting to it. get a piece of tube, connect it between the barb fitting of hose connector and top of "t" fitting. Then when at boat/ski, look'n from the back end, the hose on right side at top of motor, cut that in half, and install the "t" fitting there. Now hook hose up and run'er...

While that's a great idea Tim, I've a feeling for a test, the current owner may not be thrilled about me cutting his hose. What would really be nice is a T with a valve that would cut off flow to the exhaust when you selected the hose hookup flow => end the need for the hose clamp as well :hurray:

In case anyone else stumbles upon this, I found a place that told me that 295500099 and 295500258 were in fact interchangeable. I ordered it. If it ends up otherwise I will post again, otherwise assume that it worked.
