Hey everyone I've been browsing the forums for a while now, and can't seem to find a related post. I need advice on how to correctly unbeach / beach a seadoo, we ride at the beach a lot and just run them up on the sand, sometimes they get too far up and takes a few people to help slowly push it back into the water Is this the right way to do it? Or is there a better way, or some type of really good anchors that could hold them out in the surf? Thanks for all advice :bigear:

Sand Blasting!!!

In the operators manual, it should say that your not suppose to run the pump (motor) in water less than 3 feet. If you are running in water that has a sandy bottom, the sand that is being stirred up, is making it's way into your pump and even your cooling system.

I worked on a late model Sportster a few years back and the cylinders were over half full. This causes insulation and does not give the proper cooling. The cylinder drains were also stopped up, so water sat in the motor when it was shut down.

The impeller will pick up that sand and spin it through the pump with such velocity that you'll be wearing the impeller as if it were being sand blasted.

I'd say, if your riding in a beach area, accelerate toward the shore and shut the motor down when you have sufficient speed to beach. When riding, I'd not be riding to close to the shore either.......
