Need a step to get back on my ski.

I'm just wondering if there is some kinda step that can be mounted on the back of the ski so me and my wife can ge back on easier? I've only seen it on a Yamaha FX. Where would I purchase one? I'm not the smallest person in the world and my wife is size challenged too. Thanks.

The GTX comes with a retractable step (both of our GTX's are 99 RFIs), and it's definitely a nice thing to have- it makes boarding the ski so much easier from the water. I'd try contacting your local Sea-Doo dealer. :)

Look at Overtons.com. I just saw in their catalog a nylon step system that rolled up under the back of the seat for $19.99.

This?

It looks a little cheesy, but it looks like it would work well... and it's cheap. :).

It looks like you can pickup an aftermarket step ladder like the one that came on both of our '99 GTX RFI's for under $200.

I don't think that would work either. Upon further inspection, I noticed that the Yamaha FX has a bar that is spring loaded. It will come down to get back on and spring up to a rest position behind the ski near the output of the jet. If I could find one of those I'd be in luck. I just don't know where to look.

That sounds similar to what is on the GTX RFI's we have. I wonder if the hull/rear of the boat changed much from '98 to '99. If it didn't, you should be able to fit a step from a '99 GTX to your '98. :)

I don't think it is. Mine is limited though. I'm pretty sure they are the same. Where do I get one? Is there alot of places or just one major place. I'm pretty new to jetski's. I just got mine back today.
