Mysterious Oil Leak

I recently bought a 2006 speedster 200. I took it out 2 times and after the second time I noticed a lot of oil in the bilge so I checked the oil in each motor and the port side motor was very low. I cleaned out the bilge and wiped down the motor clean of all oil then I added oil back to the proper level and started the motor and ran it for a minute to see if I could see any leaks. I looked all over and saw no leaks but a puddle started to form in the bilge again. Then I noticed that the corner of the exhaust pipe had a puddle of oil on it. I looked closer at the valve cover and that entire area and could not find a leak anywhere but more oil kept accumulating.
Any ideas where this oil could be leaking from?

search the forum for oil leaks, you'll find heaps.
scroll though the boats, not long ago the oil filter o ring was leaking. good place to start

See if oil is pooled on top of the oil filter housing cover... Like Pete said, mine was leaking from the thin O ring under the top of the cover...

I checked that first, it's clean.. I don't know where else to check. Im pretty surprised that with as much oil thats puddling, I cant see where it's coming from. Do you guys think it's ok to put a dye kit in the oil?

Its def not the oil cooler or hose. The leak is on the opposite side of the motor and on the top part near the exhaust. Im leaning towards it being the valve cover gasket bc it seems to be leaking right at the corner there but I have yet to see an actual leak. The area is just soaked with oil.

Well im taking it in tomorrow morning to.have it diagnosed. From what I told the tech he seems to think the whole motor will have to be replaced.
