I have a 96 XP. Been having tons of trouble with it. IT fills with water and starts running very crappy. Like on one cylinder. I blamed it on all the water. I replaced the intake gasket. New bolts, bushings, installed a bilge pump. This time it didn't fill with water but same thing. After about 15 minutes it starts running very sluggish, like on one cylinder. I popped the seat, not much water this time because of the bilge. All the manifold bolts are still there this time so it did improve. The front cylinder is hot, the back one is barely warm. I know it's getting spark. Seems to run fine when it's cold. When I checked the compression both cylinders showed 150 ish. Any idea's?

hey...need to go thru the cooling system make sure aint no blockage, also, might wnat to invest in carbon ring, and check the collar its smashed against, can probably get away with lap'n it, but install new ring, check the accordian boot for cracks, and take gander at thru-hull fitting. That water is get'n in somehow.
Also, possible that the 1 cylinder is running lean, wont hurt to pull carbs and go thru them...
