New to the seadoo world, but after being out a few times im hooked and can't get enough....i own a 94 sp, last time on the water it stalled out and would not start....once out of the water, i got it started and then the motor seized shortly after. After taking the bottom end apart and finding the rotary gear valve with severel teeth sheered off and plenty of metal shrapnel in the motor...i cleaned out the motor and got a new rotary gear valve........once the engine was back in...it fired up and idled for sec before seizing up againg just like when it first did it.
i want to get it fixed and get back on the water....
any suggestions, ideas????
please help

Backlash?......

This sounds like a problem with the backlash of the gear, or a warped crankshaft.

Your best bet, buy a new reman OEM engine from SBT. Save your self all this money in trying to fix by trial and error. The backlash is preset on the new reman engines.............your engine from SBT would run between $780 to $980........and your ski a 94, it's probably time for a new one anyway.

Whats your compression?
