My boat is flooding

I have a 96 Challenger that I sometimes fish off of with friends. I find that my boat takes on a lot of water when I am just floating and have more than one person toward the back of the boat. The water is coming in through the drain hole under the driver seat. Is there a plug I can buy for this to keep the water from coming in?

I have the same thing. Now I do more "floating around" so I notice that every time if the weight is at the bow. The valve at the back has a soft rubber to seal the port to stop the water from coming in? I am not sure if this is normal.
But I will take mine apart to see if the rubber is still soft.

Racer is spot on guys that simple ball scupper will keep your feet nice and dry and they are pretty cheap, just a generic boat part.

I just don't get why those boats come with the flapper, my Speedster came stock with the ball scupper.

Then it's time for a replacement or you have crap not allowing it to seal. It has to be clean for sure. I blast mine out with the hose, leaves and pollen build up in there.

Just order the ball scupper to replace the flap scupper on my boat. It's been raining quite a bit here and even though I have the boat covered, the interior always get water. The water ponds on the starboard side of the boat, but if I use a garden hose to force water through the drain, the water inside the interior is flush along with the water from the garden hose. Will installing a ball scupper help with draining the water?

The scupper's sole purpose is to seal the drain exit from water entering the drain hose, the flapper or ball style has no resistance to water draining from inside the boat you would have something obstructing your drain hose. The only exception would be one of the old clamshell style scuppers that looks like a corrugated X and pinches up against incoming water pressure at the outlet, those can just get hard and stick together when they age and won't open to let water out.

You may have one of those hiding right behind the flapper, have a look in there and see.
