Any suggestions for making the screw stay in?

This is the screw that holds the aluminum frame to the hull. I have lost it once in the driveway, recovered it, then again on the road (screwed up the top and had to have it patched up:() and lost it.

Would Loc-Tite hold it in?

I would use loctite blue. Red will hold even better but if you ever have to back it out you might end up taking the helicoil or whatever it is screwed into with it. If its just a nut on the other side then use red. Either way though, blue or red should hold it no problem.

I have blue and red. I think I will try the blue. I don't want to have to drill and tap it next time I take it out...and don't want the threads to come out with it.

I just wasn't sure if loc-tite would hold metal to plastic.Even though I have had good luck using the red stuff to hold my handlegrips on my XP...
