Welcome to forum Christian. If change'n the mpem and rectifier, already, believe you may be the culprit of metal shavings from the flywheel/starter, and they're ground'n out your stator assy....

All THings Custom.......

Go to the buy sell and trade section and you'll see a member who has a thread, it's a sticky, who works on mpems that constantly blow the 5 amp fuse. There is some kind of short in it, that he's figured out how to fix.

Don't continue to mess with it, you can do permenant damage that will cause you to buy a new one.

Call the phone number you see in his avatar to get hold of him quicker. Tell him your from Seadooforum. He'll work with you for a good price.

By the way, I'm almost ready to run this Wave Runner LT I just put together. It's a 650. I built it from scratch. I'm hoping to get a test run before the season is out. I see you also have a 650 Runner III..........how fast can I expect this thing to go?..........Send me a PM on that answer if you will......

could you be a little more specific please, you said it could be metal shavings from the flywheel. where is it located and how do i fix it.

hey christian....disconnect the yellow wires from rectifier. If the fuse dont pop, then problem lies in stator assy, ( shavings ground'n it out, or stator itself is bad/bad wires).
If it pops, then disconnect the red wire, and if still pops, then contact Mike, allthingscustom...
Flywheel located in front of motor, in octagon look'n housing. My need to pull motor, so you can vacuum out in there
