Multimeter recs

What do you electrical savvy guys use for a multimeter?

Was thinking about upgrading, but I don't want to have a multimeter smarter than me.

I am pretty confident with checking volts and voltage drop on a battery and checking for continuity/ohms. Past that I feel overwhelmed. What does an expensive fluke multimeter get me that my $20 walmart multimeter doesn't?

When working on sensitive electronics such as MPEMs for example, you want something with 10 meg impedance for example. Basically this prevents the meter from feeding the circuit you are working on.

For general use... I have a bunch of the free meters from harbor freight. That way you don't cry when you drop them in a lake. But I do have a good Fluke meter for real electronics work. but, when I need to really be precise, I use an O-scope go check voltages, and signal.
