MPEM Removal Help

Does anyone have any tips or walkthrough videos for removing the MPEM on a sea doo challenger 1800? We have a 1997 that I need to remove and send in so we can get a new key programmed for it. Thanks in advance!!

nothing really to have a write-up for. Disconnect the battery... open the gray box... remove the wires... remove the mounting screws/nuts... done.

Okay sounds good thank you! This is the gray box in the engine compartment correct? Sorry for the additional stupid questions. Just wanting to make sure I do this correctly to get it sent off...

Yep. in the engine compartment.

I'd probly just haul it to a dealer and pay the $100 or so they'll charge for a key and programming not to have to mess with it. Unless you are nowhere near a dealer.

Other option would be order a Candoo for $400 and do it all yourself.
