Hello everybody. I just purchased new electronic module and for some reasons the boat does not beep when I put the key in and as a result I can not start the engine. But the lights are functioning on the panel. So, I dont know what the problem could be.

My battery was dead so I was jump starting it directly from my car using jump start cables. So, could this be a problem or did I install the electronic module wrong way?

Thanks for help

Hope ur car wasn't on, when jumping it, good way from what i've read, to fry that new board of yours. Had same problem, make sure the red wires (small) inside the MPEM box, are on the side of the solinoid that the power wire from battery is on, not the side of solinoid to starter, other than that, sure others will give guidance, its a great forum

Jump starting....

As long as the vehicle that you were jump starting from was OFF, then no, you should be fine.

The new mpem has to be programmed to your lanyard. This, you will have to go to your local Seadoo dealer for. When you put the DESS lanyard on, you'll here two beeps.......if you only hear one tone, then your mpem isn't recognizing the lanyard.

Don't jump start from a running engine. If that engine was running, you may have caused damage to your electrical system, including the new mpem.
