MPEM in 800 Challenger

Are all MPEM's for 787 carbed motors the same? I'm looking for one for a 1997 Challenger and wonder if one from a GTX would be the same?

The dealer could check to see if the part numbers match. eBay listings may have a compatibility chart on one of the listing for that part.

I was hoping there was a generic answer as there is no dealer close by, but further search shows there is a lot of part numbers used.

No dealer close by? Even if there was, all you have to do is call them. Call one in a different state, or even a different country.

The mpems are different because of netural safety swich and netural rev limiter. You can use a gtx mpem with some fairly simple wiring and loose the netural only start and rev limiter in netural.

Even if they are the same they are impossible to find your better of to hook up the gtx conversation kit

Where would I find out how to do this simple wiring? The vendor selling units could not give me any help- they said "it is for GTX only". Will the color codes match up for at least some of the wires?

Seadoo source or something like that has the MPEM for sale now he doesn't have any left but if you contact him he will give you the information about the conversion kit and how you go about doing it
