I couldn't find any information on converting a 1996 Sportster MPEM to a jetski one, and the only services I could find were charging an arm and a leg for splicing wires. So, I drew up a diagram to help anyone facing the same issue.
I used these connectors, which match the OEM fit. While I can't speak for their long-term quality yet, they seem durable: Connectors.
Additionally, you'll need a couple of bullet terminals.
Please note, this modification removes the DESS capabilities of the boat and the neutral safety switch. Be cautious not to start in gear or rev it up in neutral.
