Do you need a special cable to plug a mp3 player into the 150 speedster ?
What do you need to plug it in ?
Once plugged in can you control the mp3 player from the control on the helm ?

You need a headphone male to male cable to plugg in the iPod to the Aux port. Yes you can skip songs from the helm remote.

Really, you can skip songs from the helm remote over the 3.5 mm minijack? How about on the iphone. Cool...

I am not so sure about being able to control the iPOD or iPhone through the 3.5 minijack but you can order the iPod/iPhone cable that plugs into the back of the Jenson head unit that allows you to control it from the helm.

Thanks,

My new to me 2009 C180SE is over 4 hours away. I don't get to play with it more for 2 more weeks. I don't even know the radio model number. Any hints on what adapter I might need to plug in my iphone/ipod?

Thanks

I think jensen only has 1 cable that fits all their newer head units. JIPDCBL is the part. Its like 12 bucks after shipping on ebay.

Monzter's note above seems to indicate you can skip songs over the 3.5 mm jack. First time I have heard about this feature being active for a stereo. Can anyone confirm this?

You can't skip songs over anything plugged in to the 3.5mm jack. It is just an input jack for sound. I pretty darn sure that hitting next track on the radio isn't going to have any effect on anything connected to the 3.5mm jack.

If anyone has experienced otherwise, please speak up.

I didn't think so, and in fact had tried this already. But Monzter's post seemed so conclusive that I really wanted to hope I was doing something wrong.

Just ordered an ipod cable on ebay from Hong Kong.

Thanks guys.
