There is a module on the top of the air filter box which is strapped to the firewall* in the engine bay. The reason I am curious what that is, is because it has been unplugged. In an earlier thread, I was wondering why my batteries are being drained after a day of boating. Well, I noticed this module was unplugged and wondered what it does.

its a voltage regulator!, i looked it up in an OEM seadoo parts web site and thats what it said it was. i def reccomend that you plug it back in! your batts should last quite a wile!

yup! im not tooo familiar with these boats yet, but I am mechanically inclined! and a voltage regulator I VERY important! I would charge that batteries back up and plug the regulator back in and turn the boat on for a wile! Don’t go too far from the docs just incase it was unplugged for a reason! I’d hate to hear you have a bad regulator and your boat catches on fire! So keep a close eye on it! And remember that it was put in the intake box to keep cool! So its supposed to feel a little warm! GOOD LUCK

I'm thinking this was uplugged when my boat was in for service. THe guy probably forgot to plug the pig tails back up after he put everything back. Well, this is what I'm assuming.
