Hi, so last weekend I was trying to take my family wakeboarding/tubing and we had a little incident. I had tied off the tub to the back as everyone in the boat was done and was driving back to shore, apparently I did not put a very good knot on it and it let go, the rope ripped back and caught the side of the top part of the seat and ripped it off (just the bottom left connection broke) Looks like a little plastic gromet that it hooks onto to keep it solid connect to the hull.

Does anyone have any idea of going about fixing this?

And while I'm here, the "shifter" seems to be a little loose as well, is this ok? Any fix?

Thanks!

They're called "darts". One time use I believe. You should have 2 on the seat back and 2 on the seat. I believe you'll need to replace the damaged one and to do so you'll need to pull the seat back off (ruining the other one). You'll need 2 of part #3 to fix the seat. May want to pick up a spare or 2.

Perfect! Thanks.

So I litertally just yank the seat right off? (breaking them in the process) I like to do things very delicately, but if thats not the answer here!

I recently pulled up the seat on my 2010 150 Speedster to get to the fuel level sensor and pump. The two darts pulled out of the seat itself but stayed in the holes in the fiberglass. I used pliers to pull out the darts. I found that the hole in the fiberglass is too small, I opened up the hole by 1/64", next size up drill bit. I also glued the darts back into the seat and was able to reuse them. This re-assembled nicely and the seat stays in position. A week later I lifted the seat again and this time it lifted easier and the darts stayed with the seat. I suggest you pull out the seat back, the darts will probably stay in the boat. You might not want to drill the hole bigger, up to you but glue the darts into the seat back, let dry and re assemble. You should not need new darts , unless they break.

I wouldn't glue the darts to the seat back in case they ever break in the future and need to be replaced. It will probably be much harder to remove them from your seat back after being glued in, then simply destroying the darts and replacing them for a whopping $12. I was told they're one time use and should be replaced with new anytime they are removed. I believe you can find the darts cheaper than the $6 the dealer charges, but for $12, I wouldn't glue them in.

Just my $0.02
