Mercury 240 EFI in a 2003 Utopia - water tube on the jet pump

Hi all!

I'm trying to install the small water tube on the jet pump as mine was missing. Does anyone know exactly how the thick o-ring goes on? I know how the other 2 o-rings fit. Does the thick, black o-ring just sit in the housing or does it go around the tube to hold it in the jet pump housing? Any help would be great!

What tube are we talking about? Is this the rigid metal tube on the starboard side, that is internal of the pump housing?
