Welcome back Dr. Honda!

Has anyone found a suitable alternative to the Merc pressure regulator on top of the VST? (Engine built in 2000.) Stupid expensive at $300, other look-a-likes less than $50.
Just like the price on the TPS.

Engine seems to run OK with pressure @60 psi. Smokes a lot. Trying to put into the water tomorrow.

Nothing that is an easy, or bolt on part. The up side is, that part was used on a lot of Mercury EFI engines over the years. I'm sure you can find a new, old stock unit cheap. (ebay) You could use an adjustable line regulator that the turbo guys use. They can be set to whatever pressure you need.

Since they didn't fail often... I wouldn't hesitate a used one from a reputable shop.
