i called Mercury directly and they informed me that they no longer sell that rebuilt engine > That bit of information saved me 650 dollars because my dealership wanted to charge me a the core charge . Only after an argument and told them i spoke to the factory they folded . The engine are all brand new and sell for around 3400- 3700 and there is no core charge because they don't want them back .

Thats good information to know. Did you figure out what caused the engine to fail in the first place?
