What is the max speed on GPS I should see for this boat? I've had it over 10 years. with new wear rings, flat sea and a light load I have seen 42 after a few seconds on WOT. My impellers were re-pitched by impros ages ago for hook up. I hit 6800 rpms on both engines with my current impeller set up and new wear rings.

What is the highest GPS speed you have reached on a twin 720 equipped 18ft boat, and how much increase in top speed can I expect from any impeller changes?

The boat porpoises at higher speeds anyway, but it is sure fun to get the wind rush on your face with the sound of the fully WOT engines. I rarely keep them at WOT for more than 40 seconds...aware of higher stress at this level. Not sure how many of you run WOT for extended periods of time.

Thanks!

Mid 40's would be right for that boat.

You may get a few more MPH by using different impellers... but you will give up some of your low end grunt. AND... in turn... it will fell slower.

I get 46 on gps with stock impellers, me and 1/4 tank of gas, rest of boat empty.

The porpoising is normal as its a stern heavy boat.
