Hi! New to the site and am wondering if there is somewhere that I can find a manual on the first sea doo's? I'm restoring my 1969 372, and would like to see a manual to help.

Wow!.....

Now that is old!.........I wish the pix were a bit clearer. My old eyes, in bi-focals can't see to well.
I did go into the library for you to check on the manuals. We only go back to about 1985. I didn't even know they made a Seadoo that long ago. I was about 10 years old then.
Good luck, I'm not to sure you'll find a manual that old. If you do, it will obviously be in paperback...........
Welcome to the Seadoo Forum.......

Here is a link for you about the old seadoo's. This site has lots of info about the older models with pics and I think a forum board too. This is a great restore your doing, please keep us posted with your progress.

1969 sea-doo

Hello again. I'm now looking for the old rubber bumper material. does anyone have any ideas?.

You should post some pictures of that gem when you get time...I know most members would love to see the old school doo's...I know I would. Anything else we can do let us know.

ledsel I will try to see if I can get my hands on a manual. I'll keep you posted.

Rub Rail

I contacted www.wefcorubber.com and they have the exact rubber I need. In case some one else is looking it is Profile 2515 in black and costs $25.00 a foot minimum order of 25 feet. Thank you folks for the help and will post some photo's as soon as I can resize them. Cheers:cheers:

Wow.....

Man, I'm still surprised someone is in business that has parts for that thing. Your gonna have to post pix and keep us up on your work.
The idea of your do being a logo of the beginning and the "new" would be a cool bumper sticker!.......

Some photo's of progress

Slowly getting there.

I remember when I was a young-in my neighbor had 2 of these. He and his wife would ride them back and forth to the 2 bars on the lake during the weekends. He sold them back in the 80's for like $200.00 each and they still ran. I need a time machine to go back and buy them..lol

Rubber

I got my rub rail material and it's exactly as the original. Just thought I'd let everyone know.:hurray:

SUPER That is good news...Thanks for keeping us updated.
We have a new members picture gallery area. The link is at the top of the page under "Manuals"

I have to say, this is the coolest thing I've seen on this forum yet! Excellent work. I know what it's like restoring older vehicles, I can just imagine how hard it is restoring a 60's era Seadoo! Good luck, and i can't wait to see the finished product!

I got a photocopy of the 1969 Seadoo Manual from the Bombardier Museum like 11 years ago at a pretty cheap price . I myself own a 1968 Seadoo (96th one built), I've had it for 12 years now & I decided alittle while ago that I'd like to get it back to original . At least now there is 2 really good sites on the web for old Seadoo information. Not like years ago when I couldn't find anything on them...The 69 Seadoo really is the better craft though . I hope to track one down sometime for myself.
