because it is probably throwing a code. how many beeps do you hear when it happens. That will tell us what the code is. Than we might know what to repair.

Karl

there are no beeps. Brand new battery, new spark plugs. This is first time out this season. Could it be old gas? It keeps stalling when put into water, then after idling for a minute, then able to put in throttle and go very slow. 4500 RPMS only got me to 25 mph.

The gas shouldn't do anything to cause it to send a "MAINT" CODE. It's possible that it is in "limp mode" because of a sensor problem. I dig in the manual tomorrow morning, and see if I can help.

Thanks, that would be a great help. shoudl I reset by holding the SET button for 2 seconds and see if it goes away?

Yes, try that and I'll check the manual and see what it also could be. If the light keeps blinking and it stays in "MAINT" on info center after pushing the SET button, than it has a code that only the dealer can repair, and reset. It sounds like a bad sensor might be throwing a code.

Karl

Did the Set button and it still gives te same 'MAINT" with the LED light flashing. No beeps still. Anything else that I could do before paying the big money to have the shop look at it?

I checked the service manual in the seadoo forum library and it doesn't indicate there is anything you can do but go to the seadoo dealer and have them put it on the diagnostic tools to see what the mpem(Multi Purpose Electronic Module) is throwing for codes.
