The first thing you do after finding a water pipe has burst in your basement is not to call a plumber. It's not round up your family and friends and start a bucket brigade. The first thing is to shut off the water. Then the clean up and repairs can begin. Otherwise, a repair is impossible and the clean up never stops.


President Obama should know this.

Ya know I saw a similar analogy about raising the debt ceiling. It was something like this: If your house fills up with sewage, do you raise the ceiling or start shoveling out the sewage?

Gotta love owning a home! One thing after another some years. Finsh painting it, 5 - 6 years later you have to do it again. Then the washer dies!
