Lower attachment point on Ski Pylon

Hello,

I was wondering if you are able to attach around the main body of ski pylon for a stronger attachment point for tubes/towing disabled pwc. It looks like there is a ridge for a line to go around opposite of the elastic for hole index tow rope but I am not sure if that is able to be used for that purpose.
