I lost my DESS on a seadoo I just bought today. I am kicking my own @$$ about it. What can I do to get one? How long will it take to get one from a dealer? someone please chime in. Thanks

Angel

The dealer may have one in stock, but you could probably find one cheaper on Ebay. Either way you will have to get the MPEM programmed to the new lanyard at the dealer.

Aaron:cheers:

Dealer?...

The Seadoo dealer closest to me will program the key for free if you buy the lanyard from him. It's about $85 bucks.......

Call your nearest Seadoo dealer and see what they offer. That will be the fastest way to get back on the water. And might I suggest you buy a spare. It's always good to have a back up and it's cheaper to buy and program a second than it is to sit home and not ride........

Most of them will on this. It only takes them a minute or two to program the mpem. The DESS is just a shelf item. I would call ahead just to make sure and maybe to set a time that they are not so busy.

i got a dess programmed yesterday, you guys saved my weekend. and the new XP hauls ass. you guys rock

I am buying a second lanyard, preferably off Parts right above. So do I need to take the boat into the nearest dealer or just the new lanyard and my old one, or what?

Thanks mark

I am buying a second lanyard as a back up, preferabley off this site in parts right above. So do I have to take the boat in to nearest dealer or just the new and old lanyard? or what? Will the dealer program the new lanyard if I bought off this site?

thanks, Mark

The dealer will program it with no problems. You will need to bring in the seadoo so he can program it to the mpem in the seadoo.
