loss of speed and acceleration on 09 speedster

used to go 65 now only goes around 50 mph max and accelerates alot slower. My dad sucked up a foreign object and were always sucking up sand. do you think its the wear ring or engine problems?

Are your RPMs still accelerating properly? If not, then i would check the intake lines for a clog

If the RPMs ARE accelerating normally, and the boat is what doesn't accelerate as expected, then i would check the wear ring and impellar conditions
