Loss of RPMs and top end

My 08 Challenger 180 SE was running great today until... noticed a loss of speed. I gave it gas and it wouldn't get above 35. RPM's seemed to max at 6800. A few minutes later I got all the power back. It had a burst of speed, then slowed back down. I was hoping something was blocking the grate, jumped in and checked it, but it was clear. I'm thinking its the supercharger slipping. Would that be covered under my extended warranty? Any thoughts?

How many hours does your boat have? Did you get your 10 hour service done at a seadoo dealership? Do you have all the maintenance records for your boat?

It's got 110 hours. I was putting it in the shop this week to have the SC rebuilt anyways.

I've had all my services and kept it well maintained. I should've done it during the off season, but I didn't realize it was suppose to be rebuilt at 100 hours (I doubt our dealership knew it either). Our dealership was horrible and had no idea what they were doing (that's according to a Sea Doo engineer). They have since gone out of business, so now I have to take it a lot further away.

It was just too nice this weekend.

Honestly seadoo shouldn't cover anything, since the 100 hour rebuild is at the owners expense to begin with. Hopefully your washers are just woren down and have started to break up already. Take the boat in and see what the dealership says, hopefully all you need is a rebuild.

It went back twice. Once for a rebuild, thenI actually ended up with a brand new supercharger and it was covered under my $900 maintenance plan. The total bill for both trips would've been $2500.

I got to rub that in my wife's face after she fussed at me for buying it!
