Looks like a Hull patch on new 2011 speedster 200. Ideas?

Little back story.

Bought brand new from dealer 2011 Seadoo Speedster 200 with the 255 HO motors. Love it. No issues since i got it. Recently my brother got a rope stuck in the intake grate. (Face palm). I was not there. rope was taken out and everything seems fine. While he and a friend were under the boat they noticed this patch looking thing on the hull. Is this normal? Did the dealer patch it thinking we would never catch it? What could it be? It is under the driver side on the hull. You cant see it unless under the boat.

any help would be awesome.

Im 99% sure it is there normally. I think its there for the depth finder transducer.Seems ive heard others ask about the same thing...my 200 speedster is a 2004, but ill look under it in a bit and see if it has one.

there's something similar to that on my 230wake as well, so I'd think it's normal.
