I'm replacing the engine in my 'Doo, and can't seem to get the mag flywheel off using my universal puller.

The factory tool P/N 295 000 106 looks like a very sturdy unit that will pull it off in seconds, but I don't want to wait several days for delivery. (Update: Tools have arrived.)

If you use the correct puller instead of a universal one no heat is needed and you don't have to take the magnet cup off. Just my $0.02.

I ordered one with one-day shipping on Sunday. It will be here Wednesday.

My plan was to disassemble the old engine, clean and paint all the ancillary parts, then put them on the new engine over the weekend, because I had to days off, which then turned into four days off.

I have not been able to work on it at all.

I think I missed the last warm weekend if the year, after waiting almost two months for this rebuilt engine to arrive.

Biggest positive? I won't have to winterize if it never gets wet.

Biggest negative? Watching the warranty expire before it hits the water.
