Ok i live in winnipeg and i am looking for a seadoo or 2 :|. Which is most popular 2 or 3 seater? when i am looking for a used one, what should i look out for, what should i stay away from? at what point do engines need a rebuild from what i have noticed most of the ones i have seen are around the 100-150 hour range could that be because they are going to need engine work soon? i am familiar with boats to a point, and know a fair bit about skidoo's and quads, and understand with every toy there be a price, i just dont wana buy a lemon from the start.

Thanks

Have you checked craigslist.com? That may be your best shot at finding a ski for a good price.. Ebay.com would be good for getting 2.

Craigslist is great for buying and selling. I have bought a car there, boat lifts, etc. I have sold many things from a treadmill all the way to a house (... saved a ton of money by not having to pay commission on a very expensive home!).

That said, you do have to be careful on there. I often see quite a few scams posted on Craigslist. Back towards the end of May (after I got the RXP), I saw an ad on there for an '05 RXP like mine for a little over $3000 with very low hours. I contacted the seller and they said that the boat was in North Carolina... he would cover the cost of shipping the boat to my door. Now, I happened to be going to North Carolina in a couple of days, so I asked where the boat was so that I could see it. I noted that I could save him the cost of shipping by just towing the boat back with me. Well apparently, the boat could not be seen even though I was going to be 30 minutes from the town he claimed the boat was in. I have seen similar scams for other Sea-Doos, Yamahas, automobiles, etc. If the price sounds way too good to be true, it probably is. Just be careful out there...

yes i have seen many scams, the other day i was almost scammed my self i had been sent money orders, and the bank was ready to cash them until i told them what it was for then they sent them to be cleared befor they gave me any money good thing they were fake. I dont have too much trouble finding any i just would like some help with knowing what to look for when i am looking at used seadoo's like hours ? or which is most popular 2 or 3 seater?
