Ive been looking to buy a new ski as the prices are dropping towards the end of the season and was wondering your guys recommendation.. Im pretty set on seadoo because I have the most knoweledge of them, and basically just like them best, but does anyone out there have a ski they really love?? Open for opinions..
My thoughts-

-Been looking at the 2005 SeaDoo RXP Supercharged 215hp opinions on this ski??
-Want some thing that is quick and crazy as I already have one that can hold three people and is a bit heavier than I like..
-Like stable skis cause Im pretty big, 205 6'2
-Prefer something known for being durable
Have around 6k to spend..

Thanks for anything !

Nothing wrong with that ski at all. It is large enough and heavy enough to provide you good stability.
One thing to note is,,, the Super Charger (SC) requires a rebuild every 100 hours. Normally 300 to 500 dollars depending on who does it. But more importantly is,, in that year they had CERAMIC coated washers in the SC. These washers were prone to fail and would cause both SC damage as well as serious engine damage.

They went to metal washers in later years. You should find out if your SC has ever been serviced and if so if they replaced the washers.
If the SC is good to go but still has the ceramic washers, you will want to swap them out ASAP. To do so does not require a rebuild. But,, if yours has not been rebuilt, now would be a good time and you would be covered for 100-ish hours...

Thats a great deal Lou! Can you send pics! Would you be willing to drive it here? Ive got cash! Maybe we should make it a little more fair on your side.. Ill give you my 98 GTXL and $6000 plus my fist born?? Sound good ??

Everything sounds good except your first born, I don't need anymore kids to raise. I'm having second thoughts since I have 3 96's I really wouldn't want to break up the collection. 5 or 6 more and I'll have the whole set.

Lou

He says they just rebuilt it and they used the stainless steel ones .. Does that add significant life?? 100 hours is like a sumer for me.. That seems a bit steep to be doing it all the time..
