Looking for an opinon

I've come across a great deal on a '99 GTX Limited with a brand new motor. Anything thing specific I should know about this model (Good and bad) before continuing. I've been trying to do my homework but information pre -2003 is hard to come by. These boats easy to maintain? Seen a lot of people talk about oil/gas mix vs. oil injected. Pro and cons? Hopefully I can get a good 2-3 years out of it. Anything you pro's can contribute would be appreciated!

hey john...only problem i see, is the mpem. It has the rectifier built into it, so if something goes rong w/ charging, then instead of like other models, where the rectifier can be replaced, in your case, you'll need to find a new mpem...

Changed my mind -- Decided to let the 99 go. Found an 07 GTI with 30 hours that I feel like is a much better deal. Besides it is a 4 stroke and will be more efficient.
