Try all the craigs lists around you. there is also a way to check all the CL in the USA & they will notify you when a match comes around. IDK how to do it but some one on here will chime in. Or just click around in the CL home page and see what you come up with.

Thank you! I'm doing that now. Also, can you give me any advise as to what years to look for? Or what to look for that might be bad. . . We are hoping to not spend more that $18,000.
We have a Mercury now but I guess we may only find Rotax?

There are 2 used ones here in central Florida under $10k. One has a remanufactured engine with 50 hours the ad says. Since you have a Merc, you are familiar with them. The concern is the oil injection gear going out. The remanufactured engine should have remedied that. I believe after 2004 they went to the Rotax engines.

El Toro, can I assume the central Florida might mean little salt water damage? Do you know if there's a link to where I might find pictures of them? Thank you.

" this boat has a clear title call quick at this price it wont last long"
The person said 2 months ago.... lol

Either boat could have been used in either salt and fresh water or just one. Most likely the boat from Melbourne was used mainly in salt water because that's a coastal town. Living in FL i have learned that when boat owners say it was only used in x or y water it's pretty much BS because lakes and ocean is so accessible no matter where you live in Florida. Not like other states that lakes are the only thing around. Salt water is not what's bad for the boat, it's the owner and the way he cleans it after.

I happened across one up here in snow country, and it was a 2000 with the Mercury 210hp. I would think you would not want to go that small on the engine. But it was under $10K.

The 4tec Islandias do seem to be asking a premium price

I would not buy one without the 240efi if it were me. There are some with the 250 opti. Of course most of the newer ones are the dual rotax, but priced right at about your spending limit.

They are out there. www.searchtempest.com is a great way to search for sure.

Good luck!

I have a 2001 Islandia with a recently rebuilt 240 HP EFI, (less than 10 hours on it) located in Cincinnati, Ohio with new carpeting, Trailer, trolling motor, extra prop, and other accessories that I am thinking of selling. Are you still in the market?
