Hey folks, I am the new owner of a pristine (exterior) 1999 Sea Doo GTX RFI with only 30 hours on it. Motor went boom on the last owner and needs more than just a top end. I have been combing the threads and reading countless online reviews on rebuilt motors and it seems that there are some folks with tempting prices (full bore and SES) but lots of negative reviews. Most reviews I have found also seem to be a few years old.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to call up SBT and do a swap with them. I've also seen some good and bad reviews from them, but they seem like the best bet. Can anyone who has bought a remanufactured engine from SBT or any others provide feedback? They have my motor in stock so I'm tempted to just pull the trigger. Wanted to see if anyone had any other suggestions before doing so.

Thanks y'all!

If you need an engine now and can’t do the rebuild yourself then the only option is SBT.
