I am looking at a 2007 180 Challenger. I not too familiar with these boats but have been doing some research. What the person/ad tells me and what I see online are a little different. I inserted a couple of pix.

First off, the ad says 185HP but the See-Doo site says 215 if I pull up the 07 model.

2nd this one doesnt have the windhield as seen on the See-Doo site. It has a much lower profile tinted one. Is this just an aftermarket one?

Website also says it has an hour meter. This one does not.

Thanks. And anything else you can tell me about this boat I would be thankful. Or if you know of any indepth reviews on it I would appreciate that as well..

Those photos look like an 05 Challenger to me. I believe the tinted windscreen was stock that year.

I have an 06, it was my understanding that 06 was the first year the Challenger went to a windshield....
Wouldn't the seller have some clear documentation showing the vintage / origin?

It probably was an 05 leftover, bought in 07. Just check the last 2 numbers on the HID (VIN for boats) that will tell you the modle year.

Thanks a lot for the info. Yes after doing a little research I found out it is an 05. I didn’t think to ask him when I saw it because I figured what it said in the paper was what it was. No biggie.I am actually glad I did because I don't like the full windscreens at all. Growing up with boats that had no windscreen it is uncomfortable for me to look through those things and I usually end up sitting on top of the seat which isn’t all that comfortable.

Is there an option or an aftermarket windscreen that is more like that of the 05 for the newer models?

Any reviews on the 05? We are just looking for something to cruise around the River and pull my GF's daughter around on a tube. is the 185 HP good enough for this? I was brought up in my dad's boat that had a 500 inch motor with Nitros and pumped out close to 1000 HP so I am not looking for anything like that. I don’t want something that I have to rebuild every year or 2. Just something low maintenance but enough power to have some fun..

My dad always had the saying “the best day of a boat owner’s life is the day he buys it and the day he sells it.” LOL I don’t want that to be me….

Thank you

sup dog...you look'n for 4-stroke boat or 2-stroke. Tak'n the Sportster out tomorrow to Dana Point, other ones' get'n upholstery done on Fri.
Cant decide what one to sell, but if interested, there both 18ft( dual 2-stroke), clear titles.
