Locked eng. diagnosis GTX RFI 787

Going to look at this one for sale. not much info other than the original owner said impellar/pump injested something.
Current owner was told by someone that they think the engine is locked.
So when I get there I would like to determine (as best I can) the problem
I'm not sure he will let me turn a wrench except for sparkplugs.
How can try to turn engine without starter?
Could a injestion cause motor damage,bend a rod or ?
Or is it hydrolock or busted piston/

Any suggestions on what I could look for ?

id start buy pulling the plugs to see if there was water in the motor

after that disconnected the spark plugs, take them out and look at the impeller, might be something there if not, try to turn it by hand
