When the motor is in limp mode what is it. Does it hold the rpms to a preset setting or is it different for what the reason is for the limp mode? Reason being is I hit about 4000 rpms and thats all she has at wide open. It repeats the same everytime.

There's a pretty limited number of people on this forum that know Merc. powered Seadoo's, you're going to be better off asking your questions in the merc. powered boat section. You can either re-post there or if you want, I'll move this one, let me know.

I don't think the 210 has a limp mode...but let me check.

******EDIT*****

I just looked over the manuals I have... and the 210 does not list a limp, or reduced power mode. There are over temp, and low oil alarms... but it will run full power.

The only reduced power mode is when the throttle guardian is activated. (neutral and reverse) It cuts the engine at 2500 RPM's.

With that said... I think you aren't running on all the cyl's. Check your spark, and compression... and let us know what you find.

Compression is all around 120. No spark on one whole bank and the stator is not checking out. Will be replacing the stator the first of the week and will let you know. Thanks again Ryan

On the 210 engine... the stator has a low RPM and a High RPM charge path.

I guess, the stator could be the issue. But I don't remember if there is also separate charging for the banks. If there is... have you tried to swap the charge wires?

If you have a "Bank" that is dead (1,3,5 or 2,4,6) then I would point my finger at the CDI units. There are 2 units... and that's how they lay out. (in banks) Here again... the simple test is to swap the 2 units, and see if the problem follows.

Anyway... those are quick and easy tests to find the issue. Let us know what you find.

Swap out the stator and she is running great. We are out water sking again and loving the boat. Thanks for the help.
