Hey guys,

Going to be attempting to install a head unit and 2 speakers in my challenger in the next couple weeks, as soon as I get back from Dominican.

Curious to see where everyone has mounted their head units and speakers! So post em up and see what everyone has got :P

Looking at buying one of these 2 sets I found on amazon and installing myself as soon as I get back from vaacation. Any advice on what to use to cut the fiberglass holes?

I will also be attempting this project in the near future in our Sportster, one thing to look at is Jensen is now making a head unit that is 3" round, it has in tuner and AUX in / iPod in and should be much easier to find a good place to mount, model is MS30. Now trying to figure out where to put speakers.

Good luck with your install!

I wouldnt waste my money on anything Jensen, its garbage. Sony's boat stuff isnt much better. Dont waste your time on a package, its cheap because its usually junk. Buy a decent head unit that allows you to grow, because you will want to add more, i can almost guarantee it. A speaker that is a nice for the low price is the Kicker KM6000. You can get em for $75 a pair. Speakers can go any flat spot inside the boat, its really easy. Buy a hole saw kit. Harbor freight has them for under 10 bucks. A 5" hole saw is fine for most 6.5" speakers. Read up in the modify section. I have a thread with lots of info on the install in my old boat, 98 speedster. Ill dig up some threads on the smaller boats for you.

Here is my old boat thread.

Poke around in the modify section, lots of threads and pics.
