Leaking Pipe

I am now part of the leaking pipe club. Running the engines on the hose and I notice some water coming out of the drain plug. I think I am going to pull them and tig plates over the plugs.

Those plugs do look nice. Let me get the pipes out and see what I am working with.

Pipes out and at my welding shop. One came out nice and easy, one not so much. I broke the nipple off the pipe for the hose running to the head. Is this a standard brass nipple or something special? For the manifold to pipe gasket I plan to get new ones, but not sure about the copper ring on the big end. Can the ring be reused or do I get that as well? Who is the best place to order from?

Pipes back for $75.







I now need some gaskets (will have another topic on that) and a new pipe nipple and they can go back in.

What is the best paint to match the color?

Paint is duplicolor hpw-101 wheel silver. Paint it, ride it then spray it with wd-40 and it will " stain" very close to the original silver.
