I'm sick of leaking oil from the tank to the to the engine. so this is what I did. I used
Hose Size Inches: 1/2
Mounting Hole Diameter Inches: 13/16
Maximum Hull Thickness Inches: 1-1/4
O.D. Flange Inches: 1-1/2
Model Number: 0328DP4
http://www.amazon.com/Perko-Thru-Hull-Fitting-Hose-Plastic/dp/B0091KUJMO
I went to the hardware store an got neoprene washers 4 each
then I used a size step drill and drilled the holes to fit tight and I also added two ball valves, and (3)1/2", (1) 3/8" threaded barbs to fit on the ball valves.

I added them if I ever need to drain the tank or if an engine leak I have an option stop the leak I hope.

now for leak test, it has been sitting for a week and no leaks so far.

You have my attention!!! This is a huge probelm with my boat and this looks like a great weekend/winter project. What size through hull fittings did you use? You're gonna have to post pics of how you installed this as well as the cut off... I'll be watching with interest!!!

Here is the finished tank with no leaks now.

I also added a fuel filter picture.

The leak was around the bottom of the tank from the rubber grommets. All that oil was winding up in the bottom of the boat. I'm sure others have had the clear tubes leaking around the connectors on the engine to find the jet ski or jet boat bottom full of oil. Now if that happens I have a way to shut the oil off an make repairs as needed.

I also wanted to add that I could have used a threaded pvc threaded ball valve and wanted to add this was the type of drill bit I used. Anyhow this best thing I could come up with lol.

OK, I had the same problem on a GTX ski.....I replace the grommet and problem was gone.....at least for several years I assume.

Your idea was good esp if you ever need to remove the oil tank with oil in it or if it was seeping into the motor over a long storage period.

Just remember to tie your lanyard key around the valves when you shut them. That will prevent you from accidentally running with the oil off.

I'm not quite understanding the two different sizes for the cutoffs. Wouldn't you want them both the same size?

no because of the oil injection line is 3/8" tubing and the thru hull is 1/2" hence the reason for the 3/8" threaded barb

Sorry for the brain damage I didn't catch that... Thanks for the quick answer though!
