Ski: 1996 SeaDoo GSX.

Head pipe has a pin-hole leak. If I have to take it out I would prefer to just replace it and have the original welded (as a backup). I see that a brand new pipe costs $600.00+, yea, that's not happening.

Ebay looks promising, however I cannot find one that matches the exact part # in the parts manual. You see, part # 274000161 was at some point changed to 274000941. I cannot find either...

Every header pipe I find on Ebay for a 1996 SeaDoo GTX/GSX/XP/ETC has the part # 274000041... Is this the same pipe?

PM Minnetonka4me, he'll probably have one already welded up to sell you. IIRC, the only difference between the 96 xp pipe and the 96-97 gsx/xp pipe was the paint color. when i needed to replace mine, minnetonka had a white one to match the original colors. if you buy a used pipe that hasn't been repaired its only a matter of time before that one leaks too.

Yup, buying a used one that isn't leaking yet Just means its about to start leaking. Just get this one fixed and it will last forever
