Hi Guys I Just Bought A 95 Speedster If I Leave It In The Water Over Night There Is About 5 Gallons Of Water In The Hull I Also Have A Problem With The Boat Slow Out Of Hole - Both Engine Are At The Rev Limiter - Feels Like Cavitation Water Intake Leak????

welcome to the seadoo forum Dave. First thing is you shouldn't leave you seadoo in the water overnight. The problem you having sounds like it has a wear ring problem. If the engines rev up and doesn't go to top speed it has too much clearance between eh wear ring and the impeller. This is what to look for. If it's beyond the clearance limit it needs to be replaced.

Wear Ring clearance for your seadoo 1.0 mm or (.040in) Measure the clearance at the center of the impeller blades, with a 12” long gauge. Measure the clearance from the venturi side of the jet pump.

I hope this helps. Keep us posted if we can help anymore.

Thanks For Advise On Impellers I Will Check - I Did Not Tell You That It Will Plane Out And Get Approx 50 Mph But Slow Out Of Hole- Why Can I Not Leave Boat In Over Night ?? It Is In Fresh Water And I Use It As A Tender Are There Any Common Leak Areas On These Boats ???

In the manual it is stated that seadoo's can not be left in the water for any extended period of time. Any kind of "jet pump" type of boat should not be left in the water as they not like an I/O or and outboard motor.

You may have bad drive shaft seals. you will get bad cavitation if they are bad and water in hull. as karl said wear rings will also cause cavitation but they will not alow water to inter into hull. I would wet vac hull and look very closely to see where water is coming in at. Dry well with a rag any where you think it may be leaking into hull as there are many places water can enter hull from. look very cloosely and you will see a drip I hope so any way. Good luck Robin

Hey Thanks For Imput- I Spent Some Time With The Sinking Ship An Found Some One Has Done Some Poor Workmanship The Left (port) Shifter Cable Was Replaced With No Sealer Product Through The Hull And Also Both Exhaust Flanges At The Hull Were Removed And Replaced Without Replacing Sealer -i Also Checked Impellers To Find Damage To Blades - Now I Am Shopping For Parts - I Will Keep You Posted After Repairs Done Thanks Again Dave

Hey Guys Just To Let You Know I Found The Cavitation Problem, It Was The Jet Drives Seal To The Hull Pulling In Air On Acceleration " Poor Workmanship " I Also Replace Impellers And Wear Rings The Boat Is Not Leaking And Goes Great Now But I Have Another Question My Fuel Guage Is Not Working I Have Read Some Of The Threads About Testing The System So This Is Where I Am I Have Resistance At The Guage From The Sender The Purple Wire Has 2.5 Volts At The Mpem And The Guage The Black Ground Is Good I Suspect The Problem Is The Mpem Can I Power The Guage From Another Area????

Dave the guage can be powered from any purple wire. Here is some info on the restisiance on the sender. You need to check the Pink and Pink/Black wire coming out of the baffle tube in the gas tank. The sending unit works off resistance. Pull the plug apart at the tank, and use an ohm meter to check for resistance between the two pink wires. The resistance will be different depending on how much fuel is in the fuel tank. If you get no resistance, remove the clamps off the sender, and pull the sending unit out of the fuel tank. Check the magnets on the float in the sending unit. To get to the float out, pop the bottom off and look for the 4 magnets on the float. If they are missing use a strong magnet to get them out of the tank bottom. If they are dirty clean them and re-insert it back in the baffle tube and check the wires again to check for readings of resistance depending on where the float is in the baffle tube. If still no reading of resistance replace the sender. If you get readings, check continuity of wiring to gauge. If all wiring checks out ok the gauge is bad. Keep me posted on your progress.

Well As It Turns Out I Have Two Problems With My Fuel Guage , No Power From Mpen To The Guage When I Power It From Another Purple Wire The Guage Moves But Reads Empty With A Full Tank So I Crossed The Wires At The Baffle And It Read Full ,so I Removed The Baffle And Found A Maget In Bottom Of It I Have Glued The Magnet Back In The Float And Now All Is Great Thanks For All The Imput
