Launching PWC via RAMP

Hey guys,

anyone have any tips/tricks with launching PWC's via a ramp from the jetski trailer?

Fire up the ski before you get to the actual ramp. I uncrank the winch a few turn but leave it hooked up so when I back in the water the ski is coming off the trailer a little bit. Easier to push in. Unless you can have someone back you in, then sit on it, unhook the winch strap and back in and go.

where are u in new york man? by the way if your alone i would suggest using a rope hook it to the back of the ski and i usually un hook the winch as well this way i go far enough back i can jump out of my truck grab the robe and pull it backwards off my ramp and out of the way...

buy a can of liquid rollers and hold on tight.

Hey, I live in brooklyn but im planning on launching at Far Rockaway (they have a free launch ramp on Beach channel drive).

Also, there is a free launch ramp in staten island (Princess Bay Marina).

if you get decent gas per hour on that thing i would say come to zachs bay near Jones beach Saturday or Sunday for the air show.. mad people are meeting up.. ill make it one one tank there but am going to have to go to point look out to fill up then head back and fool around with everyone then fill up again before i leave to make it home but it will be worth it at least.. and hey you get to see the air show while being out on the water..

how far is jones beach from Far Rockaway? Is there any other places near you where you can launch the skis with a public ramp??
