Large Oil Lines from Oil Tank

I didn't remove the oil pump on my 1999 Seadoo GTI 720. The previous owner did and I didn't both buying another one and putting it back.
What are the 2 large oil lines that go from the oil tank to carb side and the opposite carb side to the tank for? If I am running no oil pump with a block off plate, do they need to be connected or can I simply plug them off?

They provide oil to the rotary valve which needs to be submerged in oil. They are required since the rotary valve is isolated from the rest of the engine that gets lubricated by the premixed gas.

Just curious....does any of the oil from the tank get burnt?

In racing…we run a loop from the port and lower starboard side of the oil lines…the oil just stays,,,may get recirculated…if we have no leaks,,,i have a T at the top pto side,,,that I occasionally top up…all the racers do it,,,
we run premix of course,,,so,,,we are smoky on the line,,or going slowly through a no wake channel,,,but,,a failing oil pump never causes destruction of a motor
reving 7700 plus rpm.
