My 2007 150 SC has weathered ladder straps. I purchased replacements (parts 12, 13, 14).

Anyone know how to remove the old components and install the new ones? Specifically, how do you remove and install part #13?

I have recently done this to my boat this season. Part 13 is a rivet - I drilled the head off mine with a drill bit, pulled the rivet body out w/ a pair of pliers, & then put the new ones on w/ new rivets & washers. Was very easy.

Thanks camelpak - so when you installed the new parts, do you just tap part 13 into the hull lightly with a hammer?

Sorry - I'm confused. Part 13 has a short end and long end. When you install it, do you tap on the long end until it becomes flush with the body? And this is how it mounts? Does it expand the short end in the hull to secure the washer and strap?

And to remove, you drilled the center and then pushed the rest through the hull?

Apologize for the questions...

sgoyal - is the rivet still there or is it gone exposing a small hole?
If the rivet is there just drill the head off, hammer the rivet body into the hull to clear it out of the hole.
Install the new strap facing the proper direction, put the rivet into a rivet gun with the parts in the proper order of the parts fische & install it.

everything is gone and I see a small hole. Based on your explanation, all I have to use rivet gun to install it. Thank you so much.

yup - that's it. It's kind of cool how the rivet attaches. I had to squeeze the rivet gun three times before it snapped into place.
