Having not long after being stung with a 2001 gtx di I have encountered nothing but brick walls when trying to get anyone to look at it or even in my current issue of trying to get a new key as only have the trainer key. I am in Scotland and not one place will do anything with it or look at it because of it being a 2 stroke even the main dealer say they cant get and do a key as they dont have software for 2 strokes, I thought candoo or dealers buds systems can do them all old and new?. Why wont many look at 2 strokes anymore when outboard dealers and such will still service 2 stroke outboards?

Is Candoo pro worth buying and could it be sold on after I have programmed a new key with it?

Thank you for any reply

If you have a DI ski you really should have a Candoo as they are known to have issues and the only way to diagnose is with a reader like Candoo.

I live in Louisiana, USA and all of the shops are shying away from the 2-stroke jet skis. I've been told that people cannot find shops to work on them. I have the Candoo it will work on your DI. It is likely a good buy for you considering your location and problems.

The Candoo doesn't help much on the RFI or carburated jet skis but making keys and such is very handy to have when needed. My Candoo worked on a 2017 Seadoo Spark so that was a good personal test for me to say.... it works on the newer models too. Good Luck.

Always thought 2 stroke anything was much easier to work on but I guess im too old these days

Where is the best site to buy candoo from? as none here in UK for sale.

Thanks

You have to understand there aren't many people that actually know how to work on them and diagnose them. It is becoming a lost art.

Today your general "mechanic" can only change the oil and throw parts at the problem if the code reader doesn't tell them exactly what the computer thinks is wrong. They just don't want to be bothered with the old stuff when there is plenty of work on the new stuff to keep them busy.

I bought mine direct from CANDOO PRO Those guys are helpful when you have problems.

There are some knowledgeable people on THIS FORUM with experience on the 951 DI skis that can help you.

I agree the two-strokes are much easier to work on than the 4-strokes and cheaper to repair as well. No matter what... the engine has got to get fuel and spark at the right time.... LOL Keep it simple. I don't think there is a better running 2 stroke than the 951 DI when it's working right. Bad AZZ !!!

I have ordered the candoo from them directly as need a full key made as only got the learners key with the ski

And they still charge you for time diagnosing problems or what the computer says im old school and prefer to figure out what's wrong. All I was needing was a simple key reprogramed and that's out of their league theses days

I have ordered the Candoopro from them direct so hope that gets back on the water when it arrives. I do have the learner key would that be a good option to use to break in the ski after top end rebuild?
